5 DIY Christmas Decorating

The festive season is upon us, and it's time to get creative! With Christmas just around the corner, there are so many DIY crafts one can do to spice up their home. From decorating their tree with ornaments made from recycled materials to making an advent calendar out of cardboard boxes – these ideas will have one feeling festive in no time!

If you're looking for some inspiration or want to get started on your latest crafts, check out these easy DIYs.

  1. Cinnamon figure stick

This one freshens the air and your home's appearance. A (supervised) hot glue gun, some colorful ribbons, buttons, and cinnamon sticks are all you require. Just grab a cinnamon stick. Your stick figure is there. Ribbons tied around the stick's stem can be used to decorate your stick figure (we love a festive green or red ribbon, wrapped in pretty bows around the cinnamon stick). Next, put a lovely button on the end of your clove.

2. DIY baubles

Add a cute snowman or penguin, or anything else festive, to your Christmas tree ornaments to make them more unique. Your Christmas tree gains a little personality thanks to them. Additionally, glitter and paint allow your child to express themselves creatively. Simply get some worn-out ornaments and start painting. Let the colored ornament dry after painting your foundation. After that, start adding any decorations you like to your newly painted ornament. Glitter, ribbon, and more paint are all fantastic ways to add color and texture.

3. Tissue paper wreaths

Wreath required? Just gather more green tissue paper and form a circle with it. Use unique colors, add patterns or decorations, or liven it up with some glitter to add individuality!

4. Accordion Christmas trees

This version is adorable and quite quick! Just fold it accordion-style using some green cardstock or art paper. Remember to tear out a yellow card into a semi-circle and paste it on the top of the tree.

5. Glittery mason jar snow globes

This one is ideal for children who Absolutely love sparkles. Simply add colorful glitter to an unfilled mason jar (keep an eye on your child to prevent a mess from spreading elsewhere!) and presto. Your house is filled with colorful, glittering mason jar creations.

from these DIY crafts, one's house can be filled with the festive season spirit.
