Langalibalele- My lady, it's a sunny day

Out in the cold and windy favelas of Regrets-town,
I have seen beautiful roses thriving their way amongst thorns.
Like Msaki singing lizophuma ilanga (the sun will rise), I too believe that one day this will be something profound a beautiful lady will live by.
Here's to the woman who has lost her dreams,
She has settled….
This is my letter to you
Hey lady!
Are you not tired?
Be unconventional, woman!
Set yourself apart, be the unusual.
‘Dare to scream and run quietly with those dreams ranting and raving in your mind…
All day’ long they play like- a horror façade at night
As you lay awake… drowning in your nap of regrets…
Become one with yourself,
But never seek validations from, oh hail ‘Mr Patriarchy’
Perform, parade, walk the talk and continually watch yourself… yet, remain unconventional…
Like Scripures in the Holy Book, we at times do not understand, but we know that we have to live by them just so we get through the day...
And this letter has to be your silent prayer, a daily bread.
Wake up, the sun has risen
And so has my love for you.
This is just a short poem to inspire and motivate someone out there who has lost all sense of hope. My prayer is that it lifts you up... Darkness takes a toll on the best of us, but when the sun's up, we are assured that better days will always come our way...Thankyou and enjoy ...
Love Ya!
