Looking for bloodier, thrills and chills? Feel like there’s no show that can fill the void that Squid Game left? Well not to worry! Today, we’ll be reviewing 2 shows just like Squid Game, that will surely get you in the game and never feel empty again!

1. Alice In Borderland

The Japanese series “Alice in Borderland” adapted from the acclaimed manga of the same name by Haro Aso, the sci-fi thriller focuses on a group of friends getting stranded on a mysterious, largely empty, parallel version of Tokyo, where they’re forced to partake in series of sadistic games in order to survive.

Before being turned into a live-action adaptation, the series was made into an anime in 2014, originally referred to as “Imawa no Kuni no Alice” which translates to “Alice In Borderland”. However, the anime series fell short after producing 3 episodes, the final episode being aired in 2015 (a little disappointing after reading 18 volumes). The franchise resurfaced after 5 years with a much-needed facelift and premiered on Netflix in 2020, not leaving any room for disappointment for the die-hard fanbase.

So, if you’re looking for a copycat version of Squid game, then Alice In Borderland is definitely for you.

2. Scream

The suspenseful and frightful adapted television series based on the infamous horror film franchise, the “Scream” series follows a group of teens who become suspects, victims and targets of a masked serial killer who’s out for blood. The masked serial killer’s famous line being “Wanna play a game?” will surely get you screaming your lungs out.

As these poor victims try to find clues that may help them figure out the identity of the masked man, they’re forced to run around- or rather- run away from this twisted game of cat and mouse.

So, if you’re looking for a show that will send chills down your spine and keep you on the edge of your seat, then Scream is the one for you.
