Promo Video for the School of Communication North-West University (NWU) Mahikeng Campus – Open Day 2024

I had the pleasure of producing and editing this short promotional video showcasing the vibrant atmosphere and dynamic programs at the School of Communication during our Open Day, May 2024. The video highlights the diverse opportunities available to students, with special emphasis on our innovative curriculum and hands-on learning experiences.

I utilised Canon EOS 6D Mark II camera and CapCut for PC  to bring this project to life, incorporating original footage and copyright-free clips to create a polished final product. Proud to contribute to promoting our School’s vision and engaging future students!

Ad Production for Fictional Fashion Brand “Black” – Honours Project (2021)

One of my favorite projects from my Honours year was creating a 30-second advertisement for a fictional fashion brand called “BLACK,” dedicated to providing trendy, exclusive street style clothing for youth audiences. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, I utilised copyright-free visuals to hand-edit and compile the video, using CapCut for PC to deliver a polished final product. I also produced the background music and recorded the VoiceOver for the ad.

This project not only tested my creative and technical skills but also required adapting to remote work during the pandemic, demonstrating my ability to craft professional content under challenging conditions.

Editor-in-Chief – Skyff Garms (2022)

In 2022, I took on the role of Editor-in-Chief for Skyff Garms Magazine, a start-up community magazine dedicated to showcasing the rising creative scene in Mahikeng, covering musicians, poets, illustrators, filmmakers, fashion designers, and more. I was responsible for shaping the overall “look and feel” of the magazine’s first issue, ensuring it resonated with the vibrant creative community. My role also included proofreading and editing articles written by our team of contributors, overseeing the content’s quality and cohesion.

This experience deepened my editorial skills and gave me the opportunity to lead a creative project from concept to execution.

Radio Content Producer – NWU.FM 105.5 (2019)

In 2019, I volunteered as a Radio Content Producer for the Wake Breakfast Show on NWU.FM 105.5, a morning drive show catering to students and early morning commuters from 06:00 AM to 09:00 AM. My role involved producing content in the form of scripts, ensuring the show remained engaging and relevant to our target audience. This experience allowed me to develop skills in content creation, scriptwriting, and radio production while working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
